Thinking outside the box

November 13, 2011

An SNN reader sent in the following essay directed at those in the Southern nationalist movement. What sort of feedback would you offer? Lincoln’s copper sword stolen in Illinois

I guess I should preface this post with an admission: I didn’t do it. It does make one wonder though if the culprit was a Copperhead or simply a cash-starved, copper-craving criminal. Centralisation & total war

Author, professor and secessionist Hans-Hermann Hoppe contrasts the limited traditional form of war in the pre-democratic West with the total war of democratic regimes in his important work Democracy – The God that Failed. ‘Yankee governor’ could win South Carolina’s primary

November 12, 2011

A generation ago, or even a few years ago for that matter, the former Massachusetts governor, Mormon and health care socialist Mitt Romney would have had no realistic shot at winning the Palmetto State primary in the US presidential race. But Romney can thank a weak Republican field full of flavour-of-the-week candidates that continue...

Immigrant complains about German worker’s Confederate shirt

A Facebook friend from Germany, Sven, yesterday wrote of an exchange with an African immigrant who objected to the Confederate symbol on his clothing (pictured below). Today, I came in my work, I wore my “Old Dixie” Polo shirt. I started to work, suddenly a African comes to me and said “You are wearing...

Could Russia be our ally?

Paleo-conservative Serbian historian and professor Srdja Trifkovic writes in glowing terms about Russia’s most powerful and popular political leader in a piece entitled Past and Future President Putin and cheers his return to the presidency, taking the reigns from this friend and ally Dmitry Medvedev: Medvedev is an able technocrat, Putin is a statesman.
