By the way, I notice you link Dixiecrats with Democrats. The Dixiecrats were Southern conservatives of the late 40s. The Democrats were the conservative party of the South until the early 1970s.

In 1997, Carissa Alana Wells of Hamilton became the first African-American crowned Miss University.

Pearson’s election adds one more ‘first’ for African-American students at the university that admitted its first black student, James Meredith, amid violence and armed protesters 50 years ago.

Kimberly Dandridge of Como, Miss., last spring was the first African-American woman to be elected Associated Student Body President at the University of Mississippi.

‘I’ve taken a lot of alumni and shown them that this can be done and that Ole Miss is progressing and that Ole Miss is becoming this more accepting place,’ Pearson said.”

The paper goes on to say that BOTH OF PEARSON’S PARENTS ARE OLE MISS ALUMNI.

So, black people have been attending the University of Mississippi for 50 years, and black women in particular have been achieving various honors for more than 20 years. It doesn’t seem to me that Courtney Pearson has done anything particularly special. In my opinion, the real story is not that Ole Miss chose a black girl for homecoming queen but that Ole Miss chose a fat girl for homecoming queen.

If this doesn’t channel their energies to combat this blatant anti-white, anti-southern activities, nothing will. I expect no action by conservatives at all.
