Sounds like back peddling and disingenuous excuse making to me. Having the Battle Flag as a massive backdrop for the stage is one thing, having a souvenir sized toy flag tied around a microphone is (not much) another. Gary’s “explanation” differs greatly from what was said in the now infamous CNN interview. One excuse is as good as another, and his doesn’t hold much water with me. Screw ‘em, Molly Hatchet has better musicians anyway.
