Comments on: Defending Confederate heritage with PC rhetoric?

Here is the implication of the Rainbow Confederate doctrine:

Average Southerners throughout history leading all the way up to the “civil rights” revolution of the 1960s, despite personally believing in racial equality, allowed evil White supremacists to dominate the political and social culture of their states (with the exception of the Reconstruction years). The Rainbows apparently want us to believe that most Southern Whites welcomed with open arms the end of Jim Crow forced by the Yankee-lead US government, and it’s just the economic and anti-Christianity aspects of Yankee rule that they really opposed.

What does that say about our ancestors then? Were they cowards or what? Why is it that they were willing to go to war and die to repel the Yankee invaders, but didn’t have the courage or willingness to engage in activism against the establishment within their own local and state governments regarding the race issue?

You are absolutely correct, Maxwell10. I see a bunch of the heritage folks falling into this sort of PC rhetoric. It’s insulting to our ancestors as well as to us.

I have noticed a trend in some Southern heritage groups to sound almost like our enemies in extolling the fact that there were blacks that served in the CS army and how Grant expelled Jews from certain areas. I understand that from the point of showing that the Yankees held similar views on race, but not to imply that Southrons were all warm and fuzzy over them. The Klan was never intended to be some “club”, but rather a resistance movement that was highly effective. To imply that the immortal Gen. Forrest ordered the Klan disbanded because of “racism” is ludicrous and shows the extent of PC brainwashing even among our people. Gen. Forrest would “educate” those uppity bastards in Selma with the point of a saber!

The problem with only being in organizations like the SCV (as opposed to both the SCV and the LotS) is that, instead of gaining anything, you’re more than not in a stalemate. Heritage is eaten away steadily by the overwhelming forces of the modernists. In the Dixie Independence movement, however, we’re on the offensive.
