Moral and theological fads come and go throughout history just as civilisations rise and fall. The sort of trendy morality of today’s upper-middle class White liberals is on display in a poll done by TV channel CBS Reality and reported by Yahoo News:
Binge-drinking, domestic violence, tax evasion, racism, terrorism, bullying and bigotry constitute seven deadly sins in today’s society, according to a new study.
And racism has been named as the biggest sin of today, the Daily Star reported.
The poll, carried out by TV channel CBS Reality, has branded the original sins of wrath, envy, greed, gluttony, sloth, lust and pride as outdated.
The anti-bullying movement is extremely popular in the education field and has become a major industry. Like the rest of these modern ‘sins,’ there is a lot of money pushing the concept. The idea that tax evasion could be on this list definitely reveals the Leftist and anti-libertarian political bias of those polled. Anarchists and many libertarians would actually name the reverse – tax enforcement – as immoral. ‘Racism‘ is a new term that is less than a century old. It appears in quotations here because anything and everything these days is ‘racist.’ Only a few generations ago many of the things that today are considered ‘racist’ (such as buying a White doll for your daughter instead of a Black doll or preferring to date members of your own race) were the norm and certainly not considered immoral or sinful. Most of the other named ‘sins’ on this list are also trendy concerns of upper-middle class White liberals. They are the sort of things that your average busy-body or do-gooder is deeply concerned about.

It is not surprising to see people who deny the existence of God choose to create their own morality. This is the height of hubris. Me, I will just stick to the 10 Commandments.
It’s particularly ironic since tax collectors are particularly looked down on in the Bible. Matthew was a redeemed tax collector, and Jesus called tax collection a sin. When jeered at for even eating with Matthew, Jesus responded, “I came not to call the righteous, but sinners”
But if I’m going to quote scripture, I might as well add “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!”
the29thtn, be careful where you tread. Jesus never called tax collection itself a sin. He called the scams that tax collectors ran in order to make extra profits sinful. Remember that, when asked whether or not it is right to pay taxes unto Caesar, He asked whose picture was on a coin. “Caesar’s” was the reply, to which He answered, “Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar’s, and unto God that which is God’s.” So it is not the issuance or collection of taxes that is immoral. Is it those who make unfair profit off of this practice at the expense of the taxpayers that are immoral.

LMAO!
Those who worship the state are constantly attempting to use christian scriptures in order to justify the theft that governments rename as a “tax”… it is a bad as the old argument of Divine Right, which was to reject your king (government) was to reject god himself.
The scripture regarding Caesar and god is very simple to understand. First off, what did Caesar ever create? Nothing, therefore he lacks a legitimate claim to anything that the people have. Everything that the government has is stolen through force or the threat of force. This is also the reason why the Old Testament prophets warned against a civil government rightly predicting that any civil government the jews choose would steal from the people via taxes, demand that the people turn their children over to the government to fight wars and a whole long list of other atrocities that a civil government will demand of the people.
Second point, just because Caesar stamped his image on a piece of silver did not mean that it was his. After all, in the old testaments the creator makes it clear that he owns all the gold and silver. The only way to honestly acquire any material possessions is by voluntarily exchanging them with other people or harvesting them from the environment yourself (and even then you are merely its caretaker as it all belongs to the creator).
Quit drinking the Kool Aid and realize that the involuntary transfer of money (or goods) is theft. It doesn’t matter if the person who is doing it is the thug on the street or a fictitious government entity.
