Matthew Heimbach, a frequent guest on the SNN podcast and leading activist for traditionalist and Southern causes, is working to create a White students union at Towson University in Maryland. He recently wrote a guest editorial for The Towerlight in which he proposed the idea and explained why it should be permitted. Heimbach is currently seeking a faculty sponsor for the group. He writes:
For far too long, due to political correctness, our students of Caucasian descent are the only ethnic group without the support and representation of a student union.
…As a genocide against whites rages in South Africa, record numbers of anti-white assaults occur in our own community, and open anti-white discrimination continues to attack the white community, it is time to declare, “Enough Is Enough!” I am inviting all white students to unite together and finally take a stand for our people before it is too late.
People like the jerk who made the following comment are taking down Matt’s posters at the university:
“I have explained it over and over again, but it’s not on this thread so I’ll say it one more time, since some of you seem to be genuinely unaware of this: the idea of a union of white students is racist because in this country, whites as a whole have only experienced privilege, never oppression. An Irish Student Union would be fine. So would a French, British, German, Dutch, or Polish Student Union for that matter. “White” is not an ethnicity. “Black” is an ethnicity in America, because blacks from many ethnic backgrounds were forcefully taken from Africa against their will and enslaved in this country. So African Americans have a shared ethnic experience of rising up from that history of brutalization and oppression. The only thing white people can say they have in common in America is NEVER HAVING LIVED UNDER ANYONE’S BOOTHEEL AS A CONSEQUENCE OF HAVING WHITE SKIN. So we were lucky. If we want to gloat about it, though, we are racists.”
I guess White Southrons wouldn’t count either, because having our states invaded by armed forces and several hundred thousands of White Southrons killed for wanting political independence isn’t considered brutalization and oppression.
He also misses the point that a “heritage of oppression” is not the only grounds for defending rights. A present state of oppression, or at the very least repression, also serves as grounds for defending rights. And whites in general are being repressed and oppressed today. So past privilege aside, we need to defend ourselves now, lest like the Romans of the 5th century we find ourselves an ever increasing minority within our own country, ever losing influence to those foreigners (modern day Goths and Vandals, led by modern Ricimers, Giserics, and Odoacers) whose heritage is not of this land, yet who desire all the benefits which came from the hard work of our hands and our ancestors.
