Warner Bros. removing flag from ‘Dukes of Hazzard’ car

August 27, 2012

In another act as part of the on-going campaign of genocide against Southerners, Warner Brothers Studios is removing the South’s most recognisable symbol from the roof of all collectibles of the General Lee car and plans for a new ‘Dukes of Hazzard’ movie will also see the Confederate flag removed. This is a further example of the hatred the Empire has for us here in Dixie and why we must leave this forced-Union as soon as possible.

The General Lee – Bo and Luke Duke’s vehicle of choice from ‘The Dukes of Hazzard‘ – is a classic and instantly recognizable Hollywood car. But it’s about to get a little less recognizable as Warner Bros., the studio that owns the theatrical, DVD and licensing rights to ‘The Dukes of Hazzard,’ has decided to remove the confederate flag from all future versions of the car.

The news has reportedly been floating around the hobby community over the past few days as ‘Dukes of Hazzard’ collectors became aware of a new regulation. A collector on HobbyTalk.com was told by a representative at ‘Dukes of Hazzard’ toy company Tomy:

Starting January 1, 2013 all Dukes of Hazzard General Lee vehicles will not be allowed to be produced with the Confederate Flag on the top of the vehicle.

According to the toy rep, the word came directly from Warner Bros. who no longer wants to endorse an item that has the Confederate flag printed on it.

As of now, this directive only expressly includes merchandising but Warner Bros. is developing a new ‘Dukes of Hazzard’ movie with Jody Hill directing and if they’re being this strict about licensing issues, they could very well enforce the same policy with the upcoming film. But what is a ‘Dukes of Hazzard’ property without the General Lee with the flag painted on top?

Update: Apparently reports that Warner Brothers was taking the flag off the General Lee were not true. This is good news.

Warner Brothers hates Southerners

So do they think the removal of the Flag will bring bunches of blacks into the theaters to watch their movie? Complete and utterly idiotic. I wish I knew of a way to short a movie.

They probably just want to keep Jesse Jackson away and figure that this move won’t affect their ticket sales much. I hope they are wrong on both counts.

What the hell do they intend in calling the car? The General Eisenhower? How about the General Powell (if you’re striving to be politically correct you might as well go all out)

  • Michael

    lol! The General Powell car.

Why even make the movie if they think it’s that offensive to them?

Huum, looks like they would next ban Bo and Luke and replace them with Billy and Eddie… And what about Daisy? Besides they never meant nobody no harm….. but they portray Southerners. Although I could see the movie studios embracing such portrayals as Earl in the TV show. You know anything that makes Southerners look extremely stupid.

They will paint the French tricolor instead and call it the “General Dumas”

How pitiful. Reminds me about Soviet Dictator Joseph Stalin. Whenever one “old comrade” had fallen from favor, they had to retouch every photo. Eliminating an existence by simply deleting everything that could give a reference about the past.

More about their spiritual daddy and why Warner is totally in line with this Yankee concept of photo manipulation:

This is not necessarily a bad thing. The purpose of the show is to display these youngish “good ole boys” as simpletons, and thereby associate General Lee’s name and the South in general with simpletons. But the visual metaphor did not work that way, because General Lee’s name became associated with a truly BAD-A$$ Dodge Charger muscle car that often defied gravity. Who could not want a Dodge Charger after seeing that show a few times, even if one could not stomach the caricature of Southerners with Boss Hogg and his complicit deputy. And yes, renaming it to the General Powell would be apropos.

How about naming it ” Gen Michelle Obama” They could paint it black, put a rainbow stipe on the roof and have Samuel L. Jackson and Snoop Dog play Bo and Luke respectively. Daisy would be played by some porn star obama look alike. Jus thinkin.

    I’m about done with Hollyweird.

    They hate Southerners.
They hate all people of faith (except athiestic-Jews and Muslims)
    They hate white people.
    They hate you.
    They hate me.

Samuel L. Jackson was pissed that my adopted city was spared by Issac and Ellen “Barkin Mad” Barkin was dissapointed that white, pro-lifer-types didn’t drown in a hellacious storm surge.

Gee, I quit looking at Hollywood movies and TV years ago.
Well I do have some tapes and DVDs of decent movies and historical shows…etc. but that’s about the extent of it.
I see no redeeming qualities concerning TV and the movies and music industry. Also include the mainstream media and news in that also. Oh and don’t forget the radio, as I don’t listen to it either, not to any extent.
Why waste your time listening to propaganda? They’re only instilling doubt and lies into your mind, corrupting it.
Gee, I keep thinking of things. I also do not in any way look at sports or keep up with it. It’s totally asinine and is used to distract people from things of much more importance. It’s as if this is all done on purpose.

Sports de-stresses me. Baseball and football are my favourites…although football may in danger from the nanny-statists…
