But regarding education, I have another anecdote from my life, that relates to this. Among the many reasons already listed as to why Southern schools seem to be “lacking” in comparison to Yankee schools is that everything about us, even our accent, is considered a handicap. I had to take some sort of placement test before kindergarten so they would know whether to put me in the normal class of kindergartners or the one for less-than-gifted children. The lady who gave me this test asked me a number of questions. I answered every one of them satisfactorily, but always in a thick Southern accent (boy did I have a thick Southern accent back then. Sad to say that too many years stuck in Yankeeland have diminished it.) and because of my accent, she assumed I was slow, and wanted to put me in the less-than-gifted section. All because I was and sounded like a Southern boy. Thankfully my mom objected and got a second opinion, whose comment after the test was, “What was her problem?” (referring to the lady who gave me the first test.)

Of course a Southerner rebels! It’s not a matter of IQ, lol. (In facts, studies show this). But many simply CANNOT BRING THEMSELVES to become what the Northeasterners do—- how they have to be, to “get ahead.”

It would be too thorough a debasement.

Better to be poverty-stricken and look IGNORANT (in an anti-white, anti-southern) situation some seem to have decided.
Bible based people see the unrighteousness, and walk away—- even if they could have gotten rich.

They are not so much poor, perhaps— AS UNCORRUPTED. (There is so little clean work nowadays)

The whole “Southern Poverty and Ignorance MEME” should be questioned.

This is a real repeater—- and it only OBSCURES how necessary the Northeast “Nanny State” has been for them (even as they pretend to be a “meritocracy,” lol). They “merited” things by importing mercenaries to fight for the “union” in 1865. They “merited” it by creating the First Secular Feudalism (collecting tithes on the basis of nothing).

They are NOT kings, or queens, or popes, or even what they worship, in place of those people—the Big Business Overseer. Which is what the Secular Feudalism had them bow down to in the “industrial revolution,” along with their precious time clocks.

The South was not poor, nor ignorant—- until they militarily slaughtered people and took their stuff.

That’s what they are trying to obscure. Mark my word. They HATE that they couldn’t compete with pioneers.

They HATE that they had to get things in a “Nanny State.” It proves they couldn’t cut it. The whole system proves they could not abide by a free system. (It had to become stealing-tryanny for them to “win.”)

It’s time to question this “Southern Poverty Meme.” Isn’t that THEIR word? Shall we speak of the Northeast Enrichment by using foreigners for their violence?

Shall we consider how they got their Nanny State stuff? Meritocracy, lmao!

Well said and very true! I work in that system and do what I can to combat the PC policies and practices that the Yankee-run system demands. There is a concerted effort to dumb-down the system & give extra benefits to minorities, all while discriminating against whites (very blatantly I might add).

Plus, I don’t believe all the bravo sierra that test scores in the north are better than the south, especially given what happened in the Atlanta City Schools a few years ago when the union (mostly black) teachers changed the test answers so they could score better. My guess is that’s been going on in NYC and Chicago for a long time. Either that or they’re not counting black/minority scores up there while they are down here….which is probably more the truth..
