Not a proposition

August 7, 2012
By

Consider the different approaches to activism in nationalist, libertarian, Christian, etc. circles in the United States. Notice how the libertarians moved to New Hampshire to start a new proposition society there based on their ideological beliefs. Notice how some racialists moved to the Northwest to start a new proposition society there. Also, remember Christian Exodus and their desire to move people to South Carolina and build a theocracy here? Lots of other groups periodically have proposed such things, talking about building communities, the importance of families and then leaving behind everyone they know to start a new society somewhere else. I don’t have anything against many folks in some of these movements but the mentality in these movements is significantly different from ours as Southern nationalists and just as Southerners in general. We already have communities and families. We’re not proposing a new proposition nation based on an -ism or idea.

We already have our nation. We just want to to free it from outside control so that we can fix our problems and live our lives according to our values and culture here in our historic land.

    “We already have our nation”

That is how we all should think. That statement says so much using so few words. It is from that attitude, that mental posture, that we can succeed in our endeavor to build our foudation and become independent. Thank you Michael.

I can understand your position but I’m afraid that there isn’t a majority of Southerners that share your world view. Many if not most are proud to be citizens in the Federal empire. In fact, many of them will salute the Federal rag and sing Federal songs while doing their best to resuscitate the empire. It might be better to pack your things and go to a place where the people share your values and world view.

Anti-Federalist, where would we go? Where would we find a country that already shares out values and world view? For me, that’s an incredibly short list: Liechtenstein. Yep, that’s the list. One country. And even their tiny 35,000 people country is divided on critical issues. It just thankfully has a thoroughly Christian monarch willing to do what it takes to protect the (real) rights of his people while living by his Catholic conscience. And while yes, I could move to Liechtenstein, this would require me to learn to speak German fluently enough to function in their society, and would send me to a country where I presently have no friends, no contacts, and most importantly, no heritage.

Perhaps I could flee to one of the countries of my ancestors, but which of them meets my needs these days? Italy, Holland, and Scotland are all tearing themselves apart with multiculturalism and ultra-liberalism and/or socialism.

Dixie is the land of my more immediate heritage, and is populated by people who share enough of my world view that we could get along fine and not conflict with each other. I realise that many Southerners are still loyal to the Feds. But we cannot blame them. President Davis urged the South to seek reconciliation and friendship with the North, and they are doing just that. Those of us on this site may have seen the light, that after 150 years it’s just not going to work, and if we want to preserve the South, we must be free again. But until we can bring the rest of our fellow Southerners to see that, we cannot blame them for still striving for the friendship that our own president urged from all of us.

If, in the end, the whole situation proves to be irreparable, and not even the South can be saved, then yes, I may flee to Liechtenstein and try to help preserve that one remaining decent country in a world full of darkness. But I’m not ready to give up on Dixie just yet. I’m a Virginian and a Southron, and I’m not ready to see either Virginia or the South as a whole go down in flames just yet.

‘I can understand your position but I’m afraid that there isn’t a majority of Southerners that share your world view. Many if not most are proud to be citizens in the Federal empire.’

This is hardly surprising. In fact, amongst conquered peoples around the world, nationalists are often the minority

AF, I can appreciate your sentiment and point of view, but that should not discourage us from getting the message out about the truth of our short lived nation, and the aftermath. The statement made by Michael came straight from the heart and that statement is what should be in every southerner’s heart. So how do we get the message out? By being vocal, demonstrative and informed. Confronting the lies, half truths, and denigration wherever and whenever possible. Spreading the message thru action, displays of pride, and communication on a positive level. I am a Virginian 1st and foremost and it grieves me that the pride of Dixie is defended by a minority. I will not leave my home for any reason, neven if it costs me my life. We can build a majority of southerners who will step up the plate thru hard work and sacrifice. What sacrifice am I talking about? NASCAR is no longer southern, so turn off the t.v., don,t attend their races. Sell the jet skies and bass boats. Drop watching or attending NFL games (I know that will be hard to due). Teach your children the truth about Lincoln and the War for Southern Independence. Show your friends where they can obtain the truth about the south. Show them this web site and the others that promote southern pride. I know, you can lead a horse to water, but you cannot make him drink. But, with a little time, energy, and good, passionate communication you might be able to replant that seed of pride in their hearts and they will begin to see the light. But we have to try before we go down in flames. I would rather die trying that to just sit on the couch and wait for satan’s deciples to come after me. Just my thoughts.

I would say the majority of Southerners are like the majority of the populace in general. They are fence sitters that will lean towards whatever the popular opinion is at the moment. It is always the loud minority that sets the tone.

I’m personally keeping a close eye on Greece. The Golden Dawn party over there has the potential of going from dam near unheard of to completely taking over the country. The Greek police just deported 5,000 illegal immigrants over there in one day recently. As ideas spread throughout the populace people will start to regain their National pride if they have a leader worth following. These GD guys get out there and interact with their people to let them know they actually care about them. You can’t win people over to your way of thinking if they don’t know who you are or what you are about.

This is one reason I don’t like the internet activism. Sure, it has the potential to reach millions but most of the people that visit these websites are people that are already fairly interested in their Southern identity. In the real world is where you will find new recruits. You just have to connect with them on a personal level somehow. Kind of like how you have to woo a woman to gain her love.

I would recommend a Southron version of the Free State Project. That would be to migrate to a Southern state where enough like minded people would work towards the goal of seceding from the Federal union. I think there are pockets of true Southerners who share our values. The problem is that we are outnumbered by:

    a. Native Southerners who have been converted to New Yankee Men
    b. Yankee immigrants from the northeast and upper Midwest
    c. Immigrants from other countries

I know my home state of NC has been completely run over by Yankees who have immigrated to Raleigh Durham Chapel Hill and the Charlotte regions. Native Southerners in rural areas don’t have much hope to reclaim their state because they are now grossly outnumbered. I recall two people within a week who noted this same point. One person mentioned that he wanted to leave NC due to the high taxes and north easterners. Another person stated that there aren’t that many people in NC who are from NC.

I know most people here would hate to leave their homeland. But in my view having pockets of people who want to be free from the Feds dispersed throughout tge South has a very low probability of producing real results. I would like to see a state where people begin the process of seceding from the Federal government by:

    1. Breaking away economically by rejecting the Yankee fiat debt based money/banking system. We need people who are willing to ignore all Federal legal tender laws and convert to a market based monetary system. Doing this is key because this will make it harder for the Feds to tax us.

    2. Having a governor and state legislature who are willing to forcefully nullify and interpose against Federal laws. We need a governor who is willing to use his state’s national guard to prevent the Feds from enforcing their laws.

    3. Having a governor who is willing to take his state’s national guard from the authority of the Feds.

Honestly, I don’t see any real change occurring until like minded people are united within a concentrated geographic region who are willing to taking action to secure their freedom.

In that case, AF, Texas comes to mind. Their nationalist movement is growing. But then this begs the ultimate question: do we abandon the rest of the South so that we can all unite in Texas? Or do we start in Texas, and then, ala Che Guevara (only far less violently) “export revolution” by moving back to other states and doing a rinse-repeat until we’ve freed the whole South? The former does not sound appealing, and the latter is quite impractical. I would be interested in hearing your thoughts on what can/should be done.

My recommendation is that a Southron Free State Project be used as an example for the rest of the South. Statist from both political parties have convinced a lot of us that without the Federal government we would all be dying in the street. A Southron free state project can be used to show other Southerners that there is nothing Federal government provides that we can’t provide for ourselves. For example, we can show that we don’t need the Federal government’s currency in order to have economic prosperity. We don’t need the Federal government’s military or its perpetual wars in order to be safe. Were don’t need to the Federal government’s Department of Education to have well educated children. We don’t need the Federal government’s social-welfare programs to take care of the elderly or the indigent. Even more, we can finally free ourselves from laws that contradict our values (e.g. abortion). Without Federal laws and regulation government our healthcare industry, affordable healthcare will be available to our citizens. I believe that once we show other Southerners that they can live better lives without the Feds, other states willl follow suit.

A very interesting idea. Do you have a proposed state in which to begin?

  11. Virginia Southron on August 8, 2012 at 2:27 pm

This secnerio I am presenting here is a very short version of what is taught at the US Army John F Kennedy Special Warfare Centre and School under the tilted Unconventional Warfare.

One of the tasks taught in unconventional warfare is to deploy into a denied area and work with the indigenous people who are trying to over through their government (support for this kind of action has to be politically supported by the Feds). In order to be successful you have to have and be able to demonstrate your skills and knowledge of combast operations. That your facts and knowledge are sound and correct. If you are not sound in your facts, judgement, and knowledge the indiges will not follow you and in fact may even turn you in the very government you are trying to help over throw.

Now let’s take the principle of working with the indiges. In order for us, the Southern Nationalist, to garner support from fellow Southerners (reconstructed Southerner) we have to work closely with the populous. Now, we are not trying to overthrow the central government, just seperating from it and establishing our own. But, the principle is the same. By working face to face we stablish credibility. Without credibility we cannot win their (the reconstructed Southerners) support. Eye to eye ball, face to face, mono-e-mono, how ever you want to lable the action, the action must be person to person. What is presented to the people has to be factual, honest, creditable, and vetted or we will look like the Yankee masters they are slaves to now.

This is an abreviated version, but I think ya’ll get the picture. Just my thoughts.

Virginia Secessionists, I would recommend that we target the state with the fewest Yankee transplants. This would probably be Mississippi but I could be wrong. Mississippi has the added advantage that it is not land locked (access to ports).
