Great photos. Where is that Kühlsheim located?

Also – did you speak German or English during the reenactment? (including orders?)

One day years ago I was out taking a walk with my new puppy and we came across a group of people re-enacting the War of 1812. Pretty interesting to say the least. But I couldn’t understand why they would do that, after all it was 28 degrees out and snowing…

I don’t mean to be rude, but why do you do it? Seems to me like playing “dress up”… Would love to hear your thoughts on the matter.

The Orders are in English but in the Camp we speak German. :-)

Kühlsheim is in southern Germany :-)

I can´t told you why the others do that, but i do that because i LOVE Dixie and i love the southern Way of life and the Southern History. Every Year i travell to Dixie, visit Friends and Battlefields.

Since i was a little Child i was interessted about the War of Northern Agression and the southern History, and i LOVE it to live like the gread confederate Warrior´s in the past. Its like a Journey in the Past, a yourney in better Times.
