If you tried to tell them they were nasty people, they would never understand, because they are conventionally polite (and offer things, or to take in mail, or walk your dog, or bake some cookies on holidays.)

And yet…they are truly unaware of other people and the world around them. They feel uncomfortable with Americans, which is what Southerners ARE, (some of the most generational Americans).

Deep down, they know when people speak of “southern poverty”— it is only because the North impoverished them. So, they sweep their culpability under the carpet to maintain a sense that they are “nice” people. They are usually made unsettled by realizing how intelligent many southern people are, especially the working class. It doesn’t fit their marxist pigeonholes— (that they call being “conservative.”)

It’s hard to say who Northeastern “conservatives” are trying to “conserve” more— the Chinese or the devil.

Often, people say the yankee is “industrious” and so on. And I think that led to this “lazy southerner” thing. (Also that the rural life runs on different time cycles, like the Bible, than the “time is money” factory conception).

Anyway: to say that is the difference, undercuts them always acting like southerners aren’t busy: They are BUSY, just not busyBODIES.

That’s good too—– “The Southerner is busy, where the Northerner’s a busyBODY.

nyc is actually an IDEAL for them— something that non city dwellers can’t really comprehend.

One reason is how they see Evil. Nyc-dwellers actually believe that this “is just the way it is.” Or “man is violent.” The horrors they create are NATURAL to their minds, and therefore something you just sort of put up with, or work for because you have no choice.

The idea that we can actually TRANSFORM environments, and create hospitable areas, and a cultural tone that really does BREED non-violence is unknown to them.

In a sense, it is really THE SOUTHERNER who transforms things. Who grows things. Who does not wish to be reliant (as on government). Who RESENTS the presence of so many military installations and bases, (seeing endless war for resources as non-necessary, since they can produce and grow things).

The yankee only has this reputation due to the fact that Big Money took factories to them (so they made stuff for awhile), but the production belonged to other people (which is why they were able to move it to China, lol)

The Southerner builds (when they can work with their own things and not be robbed, anyway)—- but they do not run all over the globe, building things people don’t need or even understand (like various high tech in africa)

Northeasterns, as well as all the other Yankees, are a social cancer (this is the worst kinda of cancer, period). They will infect the host. Then they form a cell that multiplies slowly until when discovered it is too late and the host dies (like Detroit). We, as Southernalists Nationalists, need to segragate ourselves from this type of social cancer. Kinda like a vacine, but more better. Show civility to them, but that is all. I continually deride carpet baggers at work. I know they are very uneasy around me and that is ok with me. I have southern friends that work where I work and they like it that I don’t put up with the Yankee crap. What bothers me is that when we talk they are so tied to the gubmint cash trough they afraid of speaking out and standing up for their heritage. It is really sad. Just my thoughts
