If the US is a propositional nation then anyone can subscribe to it. It is in effect a substitute religion. In truth I think that the US can ONLY be a propositional nation because it is so diverse. These propositions are the last thing holding it together. The end of the Unite the Voter strategy will shortly be followed by the end of the US.
