Dixie’s most recognisable symbol, the Confederate flag, is often used around the world by traditionalists, patriots and decentralists. One of SNN’s readers, Alfredo, writes about just this week seeing it displayed in eastern Spain:
A Confederate flag hanging out of a window here in Castellón where I live now (just north of Valencia) and at first I thought it might just be a Southerner like you but I asked the shop owner about it and he told me that he just likes what it represents: tradition and heritage (he is Valencian though, not Southerner) and next to the Confederate flag he had the Valencian regional flag.
