Tampa, FL government against gun rights

April 28, 2012
By

Jeff Haynes reports for RT on a developing situation in Tampa, Florida – a heavily over-run area of the Sunshine state – where the outsiders and anti-Southern elements who govern the city are pushing an anti-gun rights agenda:

The City Council of Tampa, Florida is asking Republican Governor Rick Scott to issue an executive order that would keep people with permits for concealed weapons from — wait for it — carrying concealed weapons.

Citing concerns over how armed protesters could disrupt the Republican National Convention slated to occur in Tampa, Florida this summer, lawmakers in the city are demanding that Governor Scott sign an executive order that would strip legal gun owners from their right to keep and bear arms concealed on their person.

Because Florida law prohibits local authorities from overruling gun statues that apply to the whole state, the Tampa City Council cannot impose a ban of their own. Worrying over the possibility of protesters arming themselves with guns instead of signs, lawmakers on a local level are asking the state’s highest authority to put a temporary ban on concealed weapons.

It’s the GOP convention, so that means a lot of squishy commies will be there. They will be protested by the hard lefty commies (the ones who want to outlaw guns, by the way) and the city of Tampa is worried about people who are legally able to carry guns (most of whom belong to the GOP) are going to cause trouble?
    Chicago 1968
    Miami 1972
    LA, most any time
    Occupy Whatever
The commie lefties are the ones that start the violence and it pisses me off that the Tampa government is putting me in a position of defending Republicans and the neo-coms.

This isn’t a surprise at all… all of the Yankees have been fighting Florida’s right to gun ownership ever since they started occupying the state. I mean, honestly, do they really think that governor Scott is going to openly violate Florida’s constitution on a hot topic issue right before the elections?
