Because…?
Since it is unlikely that Mr Morris has met each of these Southern heritage defenders and therefore could not testify to their intellect, he would like us to believe that it is idiotic to keep one’s heritage, identity and traditions alive. Either that or he specifically believes it is idiotic to honour SOUTHERN heritage, identity and tradition. It’s impossible to say because he left only a one-word comment. I would guess that Mr Morris is an anti-Southern bigot. But then, that is a guess.
From my experience of years of meeting with and be-friending folks in the Southern heritage movement, I have found that on average they have studied history, the US constitution and law, and are far less consumed with crass materialism and gutter pop “culture” than your average person in society. Your average Southern heritage defender is far from an idiot.
For those of the obvious mentality of Mr. Morris, no explanation is ever necessary, even if he were intellectually capable of providing such. Suffice to simply post a single word in all caps, and depart. Such “drive-by comments” are common on the internet. Never expect individuals to expound, for they cannot; nor engage, for they will not.
