Police in Richmond, Virginia are investigating vandalism on two Confederate monuments along Richmond’s Monument Avenue.
Someone spray painted the words “No Hero” on both the Robert E. Lee and Jefferson Davis monuments.
Richmond Police say the vandalism occurred overnight.
The Richmond Public Works Department is cleaning the graffiti off of the monuments.
Sick Bigots. Clearly what they probably think a hero is, is something backwards.
If this happened to the god MLKJR it would instantly be a hate crime and there would be calls for someones head,,, double standard maybe?

Oh man. This breaks my heart. I rode my bike to school every day and passed both of these monuments on the way. I love all the Confederate monuments in Richmond. This is the most horrible news and I am so upset. What are we going to do? They are going to destroy it all.
I wouldn’t worry Ginny, nationalism is on the rise. We here at SNN surely arent going anywhere. If I lived in VA id be organizing a rally at the monuments to show support.
I thought about doing something at the monuments, too. I don’t live in Virginia right now, but I am digging up the numbers of everyone I know and see what’s up. Those are beautiful monuments. I cannot stand the thought of them vandalized and I’m angry and upset. It’s a low, cowardly thing someone did in the dark of night.

Here is some news from a person living in Richmond. He did not even hear about it in the news. His response was, “Why didn’t I hear about this?” Do you want to know how Richmond is celebrating Confederate History month? They are having slave re-enactments – he thought of slave uprisings. Richmond has been taken over by blacks. The local government is all black, and they are pushing their agenda to remove all things Confederate. The slave re-enactments are a city-sponsored (taxpayer) celebration and I believe they drummed up enough hatred to drive someone to vandalize the monuments. According to him, racial tensions are high there and I bet you anything, they are going to try and remove all the monuments like blacks are everywhere and until every single one of them is gone, they will not stop. Fly your Confederate flags on your private property.
Good and decent people do not have time to wreck other people’s heritage, they are busy trying to make a living to pay those creeps who are wrecking other people’s heritage.
Awful that someone would do this. Had this happened to a MLK statue the NAACP and Black Panthers would be protesting, negros would be looting, store windows busted, buildings burning and obama would make a trip to Virginia.
Slave re-enactments? So half of the black folks capture the other half and sell it to a man from New England? That’s how it happened in real life. Blacks have been free for 150 years, if they hate America so much they should either leave, or found their own country in the areas where they are the majority through secession from the United States. I personally dont have problems with folks based on skin colours. What’s important to me is ideology. Most “Black leaders” are socialists; you never hear about them helping Black folks open banks, or factories, getting them loans to open their own stores.
When we Southern nationalists finally get some part of Dixie to secede you will see mass migrations of socialists out of the South. The Federal Reserve Note is only worth 4 cents, so I dont think we will have to wait that much longer.

I also do not have problems with people based on their skin color. When I say black, I mean people like the NAACP and their ilk. The ones in government postitions who want to destroy everything white. I do not mean normal people who happen to be black. Radical black leaders take easy shots against the South and the Confederacy – that’s a no-brainer for them. But no one should fool themselves. They aren’t stopping there.
We just need to stand our ground and speak out when things like this happen. Plenty of Black folks love Dixie and its culture. (one of the main reasons the states with the highest Black population are Southern states.)
As you can see from the article below, the monument honoring R.E. Lee has been vandalized before apparently many times before. Why is it that certain people react violently and bring destruction (a lightning rod for emotions and feelings is given as an excuse) while others are capable of leaving alone though disgusted (when yet another MLK or now Obama school goes up)? In any case, they sure know how to keep the annual crime quiet….

Investigators are trying to determine who spray-painted “Death To Nazis” and “Happy Birthday MLK” on the Robert E. Lee statue on Monument Avenue early today.
Major Mike Jones of the Capitol Police said it appears the vandalism occurred between 4 a.m. and 6 a.m. “There are no witnesses that we’ve been able to find,” he said.
Even though the vandalism appeared to be a political statement and “issue specific,” Jones said, “it hasn’t been declared a hate crime.”
But given the cleaning bill and a damaged light, “we’re treating it as a felony,” he said.
The Lee statue is the only one on Monument Avenue that belongs to the state, Jones said, which is why the Capitol Police are handling the investigation, with assistance from Richmond police.
Vandalism to the statue is hardly new.
“It happens almost annually,” Jones said. “A monument can be a lightning rod for emotions and feelings, especially between holidays” such as the Lee-Jackson Day Friday and the Martin Luther King Jr. day tomorrow.

USA1776, It’s ironic that with your name you honour the secessionists of 1776 – George Washington and Thomas Jefferson among them (both of them Virginians). And yet you call Lee (another Virginian who accepted the secession of his home State even though he opposed secession) a traitor. In fact, your rhetoric against Lee sounds exactly like the rhetoric the English press spewed forth against Washington and Jefferson.
You also applaud defacing memorials to the dead.
I’m sure you make the imperial rulers in Washington, DC very proud the way you put loyalty to the empire over liberty and self-determination.
I wonder if the “usual suspects” who vandalized the Confederate monuments ever stopped to think(that’s a stretch)that if their progenitors being slaves,brought from darkest Africa and sold by blacks to the yankee New England slave dealers – had NOT been brought out of the jungle-where would they be TODAY in 2011 ???
They would still be back in the jungles of Africa & part of the food chain,as are today’s rural black Africans…
